It is false to say that quartz is "more durable than granite." That's something their manufactures want people to believe. The truth is, granite can take ten times as much heat as quartz. Put a hot pot off the stove onto quartz and you are likely to get a foggy white ring left on it, which I have seen happen and there's no fixing that. Spill nail polish remover on it and the finish is ruined. Something like a marker will stain it. Sealing granite is recommended, but I haven't met anyone yet, who has stained their granite and sealing is a simple easy process. I have sold both and never had anyone complain that a hot pot ruined their granite, but I have heard it with quartz.

Quartz counters are NOT 100% "non-porous". It's a much used, over simplistic statement that they are "non-porous". Not entirely true. Want proof?.....notice how she says "stain resistant" and not "stain proof". The devil is in the details.

Home Depot has quartz countertop for the bathroom at overstock price for $99 !! What?!! Yes !!!! I bought 3.....size 31”, 37” and 49” all $99 each. Is it good quality? I don’t know or care, selling my house. It’s a beautiful dark grey. Bought faucets off amazon for $65. It’s going to look amazing !

Is 409 cleaner good on granite and quarts and if not what’s a good disinfectant for for both I use 409 but idk how safe it is for countertops but my parents always leave raw meats on the counter that need to be cleaned but also safe to put food on top after

I love your purple top!!! My question: I really want a stone countertop with purple veins/ steins -- what stone would that be? Google Search only returns solid purple quartz slabs as opposed to speckled or veiny ones.

I had a contractor trying to sell me on shaker doors with modern hardware to make it look contemporary. Nope, It looks similar to the kitchen in the background. Yuck! Or sorry about my last comment. I thought you used Wilsonart Metallic but I see it is just tile with to much grout. Your still a doll though! LOL

I know what that back-splash is. I am doing a Wilsonart metallic record style for mine. I am taking a 1963 commentary ranch to a European modern design. Zebra wood frame-less cabinets etc. I know I suck as a designer but my designer loves my selections for that modern look. Who knew? I live in a very conservative city and my remodel maybe a hard sell. However, I am putting in high end frame-less cabinets, not the cheap IKEA, and all you need to change the look is replace the doors and some trim. I wish I could send pictures of before and after. LOL

I am doing a kitchen remodel and getting all the info I can. I am going with a high end laminate for my counter top and quarts for my island. I found that quartz is becoming more popular than granite and the manufactures are upping the price for no other reason. You were very honest in your assessment of quarts in this video and good info. Don't worry about the low subscriber numbers. Once someone makes a decision on their design for new or remodel needs, they won't need more info for quit some time. Anyway, nice going. Caesarstone has been a staple in my home since me and my husband moved to California. Their quartz countertops are one of the highest quality and most durable quartz countertops on the market. I love the colors of their countertops as they give you many different options to choose from, so there is definitely one that will fit your project!

Could you share the secret of repairing 'quartz' countertops? No, you couldn't because they can't be repaired. Oh, and it burns, scratches and Tenax makes a sealer for it. Let me reiterate, you can't fix the burns or the scratches. Some burn at 325 degrees. Most at 350. And, the ingredient ratios are in the 35%-65% range. The figures you quote are based on weight. Oil based resins are light. If you are using butter to seal your granite, perhaps every year would be fine. If you use a good sealer, every 20 years is more accurate. Or, if you were not hawking an inferior product, you would choose quartzite which is infinitely superior. Fake Marketing.
